Permanent exhibition “With Heart and Understanding”

The permanent exhibition "With Heart and Understanding", which will be opened in Padise Monastery in April 2020, will focus on the monastery and the meaning and influence of the Cistercians in Estonian and European cultural memory. The discreetly designed exposition opens to visitors step by step as they walk through the monastery. The "Black Box" in the basement hides a lot of interesting and mysterious information about the monastery and the Cistercians.

The magnificent monastery church, the crypt, the courtyard of the monastery with its numerous passages and beautiful views await you to discover. Plan your visit.

Carved stone exhibition

The masterly crafted limestone is the pride of Padise Monastery. Known among Cistercian monasteries are known for their ascetic and scant interior design and among them the Padise Monastery is unique with its carved stone details and ornaments. In the basement of the monastery, visitors will find a fascinating display of the carved stones of the monastery found and preserved during various archaeological research and reconstruction works at Padise monastery.
